ACS ALARMS realise CCTV surveillance has become a common feature of our daily lives. We are caught on numerous CCTV cameras as we move around our towns and cities, visit shops and offices, and travel on the road and other parts of the public transport network. Whilst the use of CCTV continues to enjoy general public support, it necessarily involves intrusion into the lives of ordinary individuals as they go about their day to day business. Our research has shown that the public expect it to be used responsibly with effective safeguards in place. Maintaining public trust and confidence in its use is essential if its benefits are to be realised and its use is not to become increasingly viewed with suspicion as part of a surveillance society. We take this obligation VERY seriously !

Many uses of cctv supplied by ACS Alarms
Now, CCTV is proving valuable in solving missing person cases. Just recently, officials released pictures of a missing person taken by CCTV on the subway. The pictures gave a clear view of what the person had been wearing before she went missing. This information could potential spark the memory of a witness, or even guide the police on their search.

What is a DVR
DVR stands for Digital Video Recorder. A Security DVR is capable of taking the video from digital or analog cameras and recording it into a digital format on a hard drive. It can record high quality video, maintenance free, for weeks or even months. An ideal replacement for time lapse VCRs.
